The "Terror
of Toa Payoh" lived in a concrete jungle. He had looks that could kill.
He, needed veterinary help as its septic
right neck bite wounds would not heal. A kind woman took him to see me. The picture shows
a typical male cat who will battle with others in the Housing &
Development Board apartment precinct, going for the jugular blood
vessels. Infected bite wounds became septic. This cat recovered
after veterinary treatment.
Looking after
the stray cats, getting them neutered and adopted is deemed by the older generation to be
a waste of money.
However, the MTV generation is more caring of the strays and neutered ones with one ear
tip clipped will not be euthanased, if caught by the government cat
catchers. This is commonly believed to be the case in Singapore.
BE
KIND TO PETS, is a community education project sponsored by
AsiaHomes
to promote good care of our companion
animals.
